Devil is in the detail

Post by 62vwbeetle »

Funny how the small insignificant things you ask for from people providing " services " to aircooled fans left undone and forgotten, but they always come back to I haunt them when you choose where to send the big jobs, pity there aren't more choices of service providers as competition makes them hungry, as opened to nonchalant, forgetful and unprofessional . :flogging: :flogging:

Oooooo.......how interesting.

This type of post is alot like masturbation......only really fun for the person doing it. What sort of reaction are you hoping to achieve 62vwbeetle?

Name and shame or delete the thread, these games seldom end with the desired effect, more harm than good.

Just my opinion.

I come from industry that services over a million people a month , we treat them well, respect them and eagerly await their return to come and spend their hard earned cash, if we didn't they wouldn't come back. Valuable lessons to be learned at ten bucks a time ....

I completely understand and think your frustrations are probably well founded. I've just seen how these threads turn out. everybody fights and eventually the thread gets locked and it becomes the topic of discussion at the next event.

That's why I said,.....name and shame and get the forum fighting, the thread locked and save us 3 days or avoid the fuss and delete the thread.

sorry chum. I hope you come right and the issue gets resolved ammicably.

As you do not want to name and shame, at least tell us what the problem was, so we can add two and two together .... even if we come up with 5,... at least we have an inclination as to what we all should be looking out for..

And one more thing,

We have not had a good locked thread in a long time......

A locked thread - a thread where abuse is thrown at random at somebody or something and then the swearing and cursing starts. It is then up to the Admin to lock the thread.

In other words nobody can add another post to whats already been said. You will also see a lock in a circle at the thread heading.

You will find this sort of thing when some people find out that my next Oval project will be powered by a 2.0L Subaru motor.

Hope this helps.

shot, tipws for cars and computers - what nice people .

Will it be turbo'd ? cos it will be fast , even without a turbo - i think its super cool, hi tech in a retro body, i shouldve gone that route instead of a piss poor performing 1776 that cost as much as dong a porsche conversion .

give me the heads sup before your thread is locked

No problem '62

Can't mention to much or the purists start coming out the woodwork. :D :D

So far I have had th cut the back wall so as to get the gearbox higher, to stop the motor dragging on the ground. This means the gear lever shaft will run on top of the tunnel and not inside.

sounds good - quite a technical build , but gonna definately be worth it . I was so dissapointed with my motor afther ploughing in $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , its good for a beetle i suppose but doesnt come close to a super 90 356 motor , which wouldve cost about 30 k less. Building a hi powered beetle motor is , dont let anyone hear it shhhhhhh a waste of money its never what u expect - kinda like russian brides dot com whahahhahahhahahh
