High Performance Empi Machine

Post by Francois Swart »

I installed a high performance Empi Machine in a 75 bay. It goes very well and have lots of tourque.
I also installed temp gauge, oil pressure gauge and rev counter.
The engine runs at 110 degrees when it is warmed up. Is this too hot? WHat sould the temperature be?
The machine have an extended sump and I have filled it with 2,5l of oil as per the normal spec. Will such a machine need more oil?
If necessary I will install an oil cooler to keep the temperature down.
Can anyone help?

that oil temp is OK as long as you are running a good or a cheap oil.
Also do you have oil hoses to a filter? If yes, what are they made out of?

Means it allows for more volume of oil to be filled in to the engine so which inturn will help with oil temp aswell

Should you have the STD dip stick, that has the normal stop on it, it will tell you to add more oil, as it will not show on the dip stick.

Extended sump means extended oil space, which means you need to add more oil.
