The R50 Sale!

Post by karmakoma »

All wheels listed below R50 each.

All pretty standard 15" wide five beetle rims. The tyres on most of them are pretty shot.
There are a few exceptions, two of the rims have been widened, one of the 15" wheels is a slotted bus rim, and the last rim is a standard 13" golf wheel.
The golf rim is great for a spare if your beetle has a disk brake kit and 4 bolt mags on it. The 5 rims without tyres, appear to be a matched set, 3 of the four have the number 4774 stamped on them, and the other two 4574.

There is some rust on some of the rims, nothing looked terminal to me, feel free to come and check.
The first person who wants to, can also buy the lot for R500. This really is first come with cash in hand, first serve. I am in Olivedale , Randburg, Gauteng.

Hi Herman.
If you don't come right with this deal give me a shout. My rims aren't widened but I do have some 15" steelies from a beetle. If you know of any 15' rostyles i'm looking for 1 or 2. must be very well priced.

Have 1 or 2 for you, Rostyles not great, but strait. Feel generous, you can have them for FREE, you pay transport.

Have steel beetle wheels, need 2 wider ones

Will e-mail you on the wheels.

Gentleman, gentleman, lets all play nice now shall we?
It's like a bunch of teenage girls at a Bieber concert ticket sale. :D

Please, no offense meant to anyone.

I dont really need to explain to anyone, but for the sake of keeping the peace, here goes.

Merlin was first last night to make contact re the slotted bus rim. So he gets that.

I was then not near my phone for a few hours this morning, and when I picked it up, there is an SMS from blitz, saying he wants them all, I then open my email, and lo and behold, pm's and topic updates galore.

I first looked at the topic update, so Herman's post about wanting the two widened wheels I actually read before your PM Jacques. Allthough you sent your pm before his post . Not that this makes a difference as you wanted different items, but thats the order of it.

Now what to do? Fact is, Blitz's sms was the first I read for someone wanting them all, I agreed there and then, and can't go back on my word now. He Paid cash and fetched them, so thats that. Don't worry Merlin, your slotted rim is still safe. You were first. However, I had a lightbulb moment, and remembered that one of my previous beetles had two widened rear rims on it. These wheels are still at my folks place and has been sitting there in storage for a few years. So I asked my dad to go check if they are still there, and lo and behold, there are indeed, two widened wheels in his store room. From what I can see on the pic he sent, similar condition to these two, which means they need a sandblast and refurb, and possibly some welding round the valve stem opening. So Herman, since I havent seen these in person for years, and your kind offer to Cyndi didn't go unnoticed, you can have these two wheels for free, just cover the shipping.

For those I couldn't help this time round, better luck next time.

What can I say.
1st come, 1st served. :D

Thank you also for finding the other wheels for which I am eternally grateful.
Will be more then willing to pay for the wheels.
Should you not want payment, I will donate said funds to our local animal shelter in your name.
Thanks again, you are a true Gentleman.

PM sent.
