No easy task for a first timer with fibreglass, not a good fit fit at all but I was determined,

And so I went off onto unknown territory

Finally after much "sukkel" we got it to fit properly with a heatgun, some fibremat and Fibral,

Then I thought, what if I ever had to take out the gearlever shaft? Had to leave that hole open and found something that I had lying around since I joined the forum and actually promised to pay it forward to a forum member but never got to it, if you recognise this raise your hand so I fitted it in there

So, it's coming alon, blended in the paint on the grille and fixed some other dents and scratches, to clearcote tomorrow if the weather allows and then a nice skull head airbrushed onto the decklid,

Does anyone know where I might find similar scoops like the examples below, all I can find are flat bonnet air intakes from Auto Style and Max Motor sport

I was thinking of that but I just don't have time, have to still fit the turbo and it's cooling pipes etc,etc, wanna get some seat time

I should learn some more fibreglassing, it's sorta addictive once you start achieving results, maybe pull moulds from the wide rear fenders and so on,
Where would I get foam to use?

Isoboard is nice to work with, it is a close body foam so it sands without bits chunking off. It is usually employed as ceiling board in the building industry. Buy a sheet, cut squares out of it with a sharp blade and glue the squares together in layers to achieve a block of the size you need. Work sparingly with the wood glue, you don't want hard thick lines of it in your block. I would use dots of it near the center of the mass. You cannot use polyester resin with polystyrene foam. You will have to get epoxy resin. I prefer working with epoxy resin it does not have that overpowering smell that polyester has.

At last, radiator grille built in and sprayed , I love the horn button idea ( Chip Foose moment )
Now I have to get to fitting the turbo but I still dread making an airscoop on the left rear mudguard, luckily the turbo is also watercooled so I need to tap into the radiator pipes.

Picked up a slight misfire, she would idle well whilst the choke is on at cold satrt, after that she has a misfire that pop's every now and again, it's not a rythmic misfire, but sorta like this
Puff..................... puf puf.................puf.................................puff.... puff

Going to try and sort it by first giving the carb a good clean, my guess is she runs lean at idle, that's why she doesnt misfire when the choke is applied.,

Check all the local bars in our area , especially Frates road, used to do runs down 18th ave from Ben Swart till they put the flippen circle in there that's where I do all my test runs, across the bridge after Micheal Brink up to the Pavillion Pick & pay, lots of time spent at Midas in 18th where I meet up with Dirk Munting and have chat's and so on. The wife uses her sometimes down Ben Swart to work and up into Codonia ave, so yeah where all around the area

LoL..........frates is my playground as well.........drive down calm like the 1 way and looking for the fuzz and then pop a U-ey at Midas and then beat the living snot out of the car the way back down. 18th has been spoilt, but think of it as a chicane as there are no speed bumps yet......So I take it that you deal with Doc @ Midas a lot?

Update on the charge cooler reservoir, could not figure out how to but eventually found a way, the steps:
While walking around the workshops on a smoke break I spotted this busses expansion tank and ( LIGHTBULB!!! )

So I found a used one, cleaned it up and started hacking away, of course my trusty friend Upol Fibral fibreglass friend was there once again to help me out
