Post by Terry Phillips »

I have a Supersonic tape deck that I got as a present from my wife 38 years ago and it needs repairs,as it is over 38 yrs old I would really like to get it working again so I can fit it into my Early Bay ,does any one know who I could try to get it repaired.
Thanks

Scout around. But remeber that technology is redundant and has been for 20 years. Spares may be an issue. I would go to the flee market and buy a cheap radio tape deck.....yes you can still find them if you look hard enough. strip them both and do a tape deck transplant. It requires minimal skill and a soldering iron. Radios are really simple, so finding the fault wont be difficult.

Thanks for that Sambabus I will look into doing that,it should work as it is only a tape deck on its own.
