Hi all, Can someone maybe tell me what's the VW colour my bus? The colour code on the plate states "040" as the colour code but I can't find anything on it...
From all the photos that I've checked of other cars I think it's "Savannah Beige"? Where does one find anything on South African colours used by VW?
Thanks.

I think your best bet will be to polish your fuel flap and take it to your paint supplier to match
Apparently there is not much records on the old vw color codes

Thanks for the reply
The model below was painted by me with paint mixed from my fuel flap. Major difference between the polished flap and the unpolished car, Note the two pictures. Was just wondering what VW called the colour of my bus..

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
