What can I say, I'm a sucker for an air cooled that still has its original paint and if its ratty looking I'm hooked.

This is still one solid beetle with only surface rust and patina. The floor pan looks brand new not even rusted at the battery.

The seat cover wanted her own beetle and at first she wanted a Ratty but after seeing a red and white 2 tone beetle at the logo day she changed her mind.

To safe this one from being re painted I had to promise that we can 2 tone my 59 as it hasn't got it original paint and in need of re do as its starting to rust threw on the roof and as Herman said it needs cheering up she looks really sad all the time.

Congratulations. Always good to save a car from a respray if it's not really needed. Hope you have many years of enjoyment out of her.
