Changing ownership and engine at the same time?

Post by Wentzel »

I need some advice on paperwork please.

Bought the wife a beetle and busy fixing it up. It is still on pos name but I payed the lisense this year. Originally I wanted to rebuild the original engine but thinking of using a different casing or engine. Will it be troublesome to change the engine details and ownership at once? Or how do I go about it?

Orrr will it be easier to ise the original casing to save some frustration? Problem is it needs work but I have a different casing in good condition ready for use.

Thanks

Regardless of when it gets put on your name (before or after the engine number changes) it will have to go for police clearance when the engine number changes, I bought my beetle and put it on my name, after that I realized that the engine number in the car and on the papers doesn't match, I then went for police clearance & nobody gave me grief about anything..
Just keep on BUGGIN'

Thanks was hoping it wouldn't be an issue. Now I have a few more options.
