My dogs are my life, followed closely by my aircooleds . Anytime I can, I have them with me journeying somewhere. Post some pics of your furry friends enjoying aircooled life with you .
I'll start with these...
- For the record, the Fleetline is their favorite

Thanks Muds . Always loved them and wouldn't have anything else now Dean is a year old and his baby sister, Lylah is six months. HUGE amount of energy they have. They are superbly intelligent and all round best friends to me

Wow Pine! Thanks for the the pics . I am a little concerned at the neighbors cats' claws on your snazzy soft top . That ad reminds me; my mom had two Great Danes and used to schlep them all over Cape Town in her bug. They'd sit on the back seat with their heads through the driver and passenger windows... I'll scan some pics and slap 'em up tomorrow.
I have taken my brothers two girls, Nunu and Maya, to the beach in HW2 a couple of times. At first I tied them to the roll bar to prevent them from jumping out, but realised it was not neccessary. Especially Maya (the black and white one) loves putting her face in the wind at speed so that her ears can flap
Thanks for the added pics guys! Fig, the one of your dog resting his head on your shoulder is legendary! I recently bought a "Pet Friendly" accommodation book listing all the guest houses and camp sites that allow you to take your dogs with. I am absolutely DYING to do a road trip with my two and would love to show them the sea! Dean swims like a fish so I know he'd love getting the paws in the surf.
- As promised, pics of my mom's Great Danes from the late '70's...

Please share the title/author info on that book.
Finding dog friendly camping was always an issue for us on the road. Most times we managed to convince people to let us stay, even though it was holiday season and they weren't too happy about our two large dogs (seems most caravanners, etc, only have small stoepkakkers!). It would be useful to be able to plan stops where dogs are welcome.

Sorry to hear you had issues with dog friendly accommodation. This book is AMAZING and lists hundreds of places one can take your dogs to stay, or just for a day outing. It's just under 300 pages and the latest edition even includes Namibia! It also lists shopping malls, wine farms, hiking trails etc. that are all pet friendly.
I've scanned the cover and a DPS, which I hope isn't too small to read, as an example of what the book offers.
Here's a link to the site where you can order the book or you can do what I did and go into any VetsMart pet shop and buy it over the counter.
