Wow!

That really is a barn find. Love it when these buses are found hiding. Fair bit of rust to contend with there though.

Cool find! :hangloose:

Is the rear interior all there? Is it a 10-seater?

I haven't seen the bus in the flesh yet, just the pictures which were emailed to me today.

Jason found it on a farm a few K's away from his house. One owner since new, parked since 1980 and apparently totally complete.

Jason has lost/forgotten his password for the forum and asked me to ask if anyone has a replacement roof to sell him. He needs one for both the bus and for the beetle, which by the way he found on a rubbish dump late last year. It's supposedly a '58 which has all matching serial numbers, is also complete in and out and has had later bug indicators retro fitted.

Just to make you all really envious, a few years back he found a complete Cal spec Thing in a customers garage and picked it up for R7000.00.

Just to add to his collection of Cal Spec Karmann Beetle Cabrio, Karmann Ghia, two early Porsche 911s, a '60 DC bus and a '58 bus on it's way from Splitbusaholic.

Wow man !

I would love to know the VIN of this bus. I would guess a '65 10 seater and on the same production line as my bus 8) I know of only 1 other poor example with this colour scheme, but it's the first time I'm seeing another with this brown/cream two tone original upholstery still present ....

More pics asasp :hangloose:

Nice find. Looks an early 64. (Notice heater outlets, similar to 63 and earlier, and Fleetlines). Also both bumpers seems the pointed type. The front door handles, are they the pull-out or push-button type?
Jolas, i thought yours was a 64?
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).
