No they did not... the samba.com thread you saw these pics on or from disclaims at the end that the cars are all fakes done on photoshop by some samba.com members...
Its actually a bit of samba.com folklore... Also any "photoshopper" will see that they are fake and know what to look for. LOL!

The 1st giveaway is the back side windows, all different, VW will not make that many combinations...............
