Koos the '69 beetle

Post by dixtoy »

Was looking for a nice 68/69 beetle for some time now and this past weekend Koos found me in Ficksburg

This is going to be a my never ending project play around with beetle

Short term plans,
1) close the holes in the engine tin
2) new engine compartment rubbers
3) good engine service
4) disc brakes up front
Then enjoy it as is and start collecting parts for a nice engine, gearbox and suspension

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

will post more pics as soon as I bring it home, didn't want to drive it to far as it has holes in the tin where the flex hose goes threw and the engine compartment seals is deteriorated.

Still has it matching 1500 SP, was and old lady's car that just drove it around the small town once in a while
