Shelleys Cape Town

Post by jabez »

Hi guys and gals,

Anyone had Shelleys in Cape Town work on your air-cooled cars?
Any positive feedback?
I need to sort some stuff out on my 74 beetle.

Regards,

Its was a while ago, but I decided not to use Shelleys. At the time they were very expensive, and after asking around, nobody was happy with their work. But things change, maybe they cleaned up their act.

I went to Frank's Motor's in Queenspark Rd, Woodstock. 02-one, four four seven 7913. A fellow VW enthusiast, very knowledgeable. They Did the suspension, King and Link pins, some engine work.

OK cool,

Pricing was not toooo bad.
Picked up my car and drives wonderful.

I appreciate the fact that they were honest enough to tell me it was just my jets blocked and not to service my carb.

I need to do my king and links aswell so PM what Frank quoted you please.

Thank You....

I have actually had more good experiences with Shelley's in terms of spares than bad experiences. They are generally friendly and helpful. Not sure about their mechanical prowess - reports are mixed there...

Its been too long to remember clearly. I am certain I have the invoice slip on file, but it will be dated in 2007... so not of much use.
