HI ALL,

I have a question about the negative camber on the rear of my buggy, The front suspension is tops, no play on k and l pins, ball joints etc... ok maybe the steering box I have set stiff but I will loosen it a bit over the weekend. (Hood off) :oops:

Well as soon as I hit a bump or ditch no matter how small, the buggy will dart to the left or right. Now my question.
I have excesive negative camber on the rear, could it be that as soon as one rear wheel looses road contact, the other pushes the buggy in the opposite direction??.

I do have new std shocks in all round but did order new coil overs fror FFR today and going to lift it a bit at the rear.

Excessive negative camber should tend to improve stability; it's positive camber that can make your car unstable. The main issue with excessive negative camber is uneven tyre wear.

I suggest you look elsewhere for your problem. Since you've got new shocks, you can tick that one off. I suggest you also check your front wheel alignment, as that can cause the car to wander on the road. Also, very wide tyres on the front wheels will cause the car to "tramline", which means bumps and ridges in the road will affect steering direction, requiring constant correction.

How hard is your front wheels inflated ?

Tyre pressure front 0.7kpa and 1.5kpa rear.eish this car his not write. I manage to see that I do have some play on my left king and link pin if I take the tyre top and bottom there some play not much but will start with that.

Do not trust someone else to look d i y.

Guys my buggy still wonders. So im going to rebuild the front suspension. Just a few questions.
The shocks is standard Garbriels, new in Desember fitted.
So should I fitt adjusters and can they be welded with a arc welder?
Will I beable to replace the king and link pins without special tools, do they need to be engineerd to fit perfectly?
The tyre rod ends I think I would manage if I get a ball joint tool. Which one do you suggest I buy.

What else should I take note of ? I'm not totally idiot when it comes to spanner swinging but like to be prepared.

I apretiate any help, maybe Pine should come and check my Windhoek stock, so he can assit. :D
