I went over the beetle with two layers and it added about 20kg's to it.

Sheesh...wierdness. ;)

Pending a talk with Bugger, the material is on hold.

I'd also like to hear my new engine before I go further with sound ideas, now.

I want to lighten the bug as much as possible over the medium future.

F/glass fenders, perhaps a bonnet and decklid, and I've heard of an aluminium front beam too...

Considering my bike is coming early next year, this is a slow evolution.

Thanks, N.

You can also use the heat shield between the doggy box and interrior to keep heat and it will double as sound killer

You basically only need to fit insids the doors the 2 back pannels and a 4 pieces on the floor placed at the "Flexing "points
These areas is where the noise is generated or amplified by the metal vibrating or flexing

The heat shield I bought at Big Boss Auto R220 per Sq meter and you stick it with Gencem glue
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

Thanks Bugger.

When I more or less have a rolling chassis, I'll drop you a line to come past and check things out for me. :)

How's that midmount coming along? Have you built your g'box yet?

Cheers, n.

My mate in the US has gone quiet, so my parts are on hold. :s

Need to bug my chassis builder too. ;)

...and have not heard from Dave about my beam in a while now. Phoning on MON...

I currently have my Beetle in my neighbourhood, the other side of Sandton, parts in Alberton, some in the USA, and part of it in Cape Town.

Nice eh?
