I want to do some measurements on bearings, casings, cam bearings and general engine parts. I have a set of outside mics but need something to measure insides.
I would prefer Mitotoyu but have been unable to source any in Witbank. Where would you recommend preferebly Gauteng area to buy these and what would you recommend I buy. Any idea on reasnoble prices on these?
Thanks

Re: Inside micrometers or telescopic gauges
Thanks Tony thats a few $$ but worth it in the end.
I wasn't sure what range to get but was thinking 40 to 70ish for a start?
Found one locally but it Is a caliper type inside mic and I'm not sure if it could work as the measuring tips are short and how will It work in confined spaces? I don't want to buy something to find out it won't work as needed.
How deep into the bearings and bearing saddles do i have to measure to get accurate readings?

Re: Inside micrometers or telescopic gauges
Have you looked at a dial bore guage,it gives you a instant read out, cant remember the place in Jhb central that use to sell them but most engineering supply shops should have, buy now as the Rand not looking to good.

Re: Inside micrometers or telescopic gauges
I received 3 teloscoping bore gages via courier today. I went with Insize as I will anyway use my Mitotoyo Mics to do the readings from the gages.
