Its a 1970 Westfalia. This bus has been around for several years in the Cape, but now it is finally mine.
Paul and myself went to fetch it earlier this month. It had stood for quite a while, so the drive back was a little difficult due to a partially blocked carburettor from vrot petrol, but otherwise all good.

So a quick cleaning of the carburettor and a polish up of the original paintwork has got this bus looking great again. Nothing further needs to be done mechanically, all is original and still in great shape.
The paintwork is also still original, but the rims and bumper have been powder coated. It is not the correct white, so I will spray these the correct white in due course. The curtains are not original either, these must go. I must still do a little research on the correct material and source some.
Interior wise is still absolutely beautiful and preserved.
Here are some pics.
