Backfiring Bay!
Hi Guys. I have a '76 Bay which has been redone during the past year. I have a problem with it. When I drive it sometimes jerks & backfires. When I accelerate it stops. As soon as you cruise at a constant speed, it gives a jerk again. This does not happen every time I use it. One day it will drive like a dream, and the next day it will jerk and misfire. The points have also been burnt closed on two occasions now. Any advice?

Re: Backfiring Bay!
Sounds like an ignition problem too, points are often burnt due to incorrect coil. What style of coil is installed?Dannyg wrote:Hi Guys. The points have also been burnt closed on two occasions now. Any advice?
