Looking good Herman.
What parts you do you still need to get?
From who did you buy the rubbers and are you happy with the quality?

Are you going to make your deadline of George?

The devil is in the smaller parts that are hidden.
Managed to get the Driver (right) door regulator, but the gears where shot.
Due to the High cost of good working regulators, I managed to get a broken, arms missing drivers door regulator in German, and have made new parts to repair it and convert it to passenger (Left) door.
Have had all the gears laser cut, and am now assembling them.

Have had to get broken parts and made one out of many

Will still need door glass, so i have to cut a template, and other small parts as I start assembly.

Got good quality rubbers from ISP west, and Cip2, bits from both, but all excellent quality

Should make George, may have some temporary incorrect parts but should be there.

For my sake, not on a trailer, will never hear the end of it from Tony Z ...

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

...... to be able to take an ADD from the pushy robot vendor without him getting his hand in.....???????

Yes, its for fresh air, without landing up with an unwanted blow job, as there is no Vent side window

No for sure I will be cutting the windows to the correct shape, as this is an important feature of the split, even if I have crotch cooler vents.

Problem is I need to wait till all the window hardware is in, to cut the profile, or I will get it wrong.

Actually no, you are not entirely correct here.
Yes it is for air, but it serves another purpose - it is in fact a windscreen demister

Herman , if you can find someone to lend you a sample , i can get a set made for you from our supplier, is it tempered glass (as all side windows are) ??
they just need the sample to draw a template , we don't need the actual sample window to go to the factory.
Let me know if you are interested at all !

I can send an original side window with Jacques. Will send a rear split one too then it saves you from making a templet.

The gears Virtanen sells but if you did laser cut some hard material they should be fine.
Do you have the window channels and did you get the rubber and felt. The side windows are 5mm thick and with some of the crap rubbers and felt they take a day or two to fit. If you found some good ones let me know.

Just check with Jacques what his shipping cost going to be, or maybe we should use Time Freight.

That would be great, yes it is 5mm tempered glass, both sides and back windows.

Jdt1976 has offered to give you a sample of the side and back glass, and not sure where you have them made, but can send them back with my courier when done.

Thanks

Thanks a lot, can take a temples off it, but if you sure about sending the glass that will work just fine.

Can return with my courier, no problem.

Found the loose gears for sale after having them cut, so not a problem, will be having a few spare, so we are sorted .

Do not want to use Pro Auto, will be getting the rubber imported.

Still need to get the lift channel, but I know that the 2 door Corsa channels will work if I do not find the OE

Thanks again, if you can get the glass to Jacques, much appreciated.

You know what I will look at when walking past a Corsa today. I tried the the rubber and felt of the old Mercs but they dont work. Ended up importing and got rubber and 'lap'. Asked the seller and he said one need to glue the lap on the rubber.

The ones on Splitparts unlimited catalogue look good but haven't tried them.

The good news about the Corsa lift channel is that you just take out the glass and press the split glass strait into the same rubber, tight fit, but works as if it was made for it.

Watch out 2 door Corsa's, there are window grabbers out there.......

Herman, You arrange to get the glass from Jaco and make templates of which ones you want, then i can give the templates to the Rep that gets all our glass made. The new Glass will be delivered to My office once done.
