Paint codes

Post by beetlefanatic »

Well I think the time has come for Ugly Betty to get a make-over in the near future and I am looking at colour schemes at the moment. I was wondering if anyone knows a website where one can find different colour examples and their codes. I am leaning towards an orange and black theme with body mainly orange and trims and some areas in black. I like the Land Rover orange very much. Something like this.

For wheels I'm thinking of Fuchs replicas.

What do you think?

Help with the paint codes appreciated as always. :D

You can use the following web site

http://www.glasurit.com/uk/glasurit-color-online

Type in the make of car with that colour, and it will give the code and mixing ratios.

Or go to your local Glasurit store and pick a colour from their millions of spray-outs, you can even pick a colour they will mix a sample, you then add pigments to get it to what you want, then they give you the ratios, for the final colour to give to the painter.

Have fun.

Oh!... keep us updated of the project.

Thanks Oom Herman!

I am still collecting spares at this stage but bodywork and painting shouldn't be too far in the future.
