About a year ago i was in the market for a vw beetle for my daughter (1974 Model) and purchased it.
At the same time being impressed by the work the guys were doing actually paid a deposit and bought a 1972 Bay Window (Made sense since i am the same Model) and were man handled during the process on both purchases.
The then owner assured me all paperwork are in order and actually showed it to me as well.
The guys i bought it from did a lot of work on it and went under but managed to with the help of the landlord (who also did not get paid a few months rent) actually fetch the Bus and put it in storage. Drove the beetle out of there as well.
i was so disgusted by the whole experience and i am having endless issues with paperwork.
I have to pay previous owners fines and outstanding license fees at around R 10 K just to get the beetle sorted out and on my name.
The Bus i have not even started with but will get to it.
I guess my question is does anyone have any advice to help with sorting out this type of scenario legally?

Re: Papers and Paperwork
Outstanding license fees are not your responsibility, it's not coupled to the bus, but to the owner.....

Anyone have experience of reintroducing a bus without papers into the system. I can imagine it will take long but anyone any idea on how the process works or be of assistance.

Managed to get the outstanding fees paid on Friday freakin 4k out of my budget. Turns out the provincial government had a placed a mark on the car and according to the license offices locally they say if that mark is on the vehicle you are pretty much stuck.
What I mission but that is done now and I can get going with registering the car.
