New Project, what books to buy
Hi All
I have just started a project on a 1975 1600 Beetle, only in the tearing down and cleaning stage at the moment
I have no idea which manual to buy or download, any pointers ??
I have ordered Tom Wilsons book on rebuilding an engine but am looking for a manual for the rest of the car, preferable a free download if they exist?
Thanks
Neil

Heynes manual. Its got everything you need.
If you have the funds, then look into the Bentley Manuals (VW USA workshop manuals), but they run some pretty hefty price tags
Dont bother with the idiots guide - its a good read, but there are plenty errors and its missing some needed info

Yip, thats the one.
I've got one and use it regularly. I've also got the Bentley manuals, but I find Heynes easier to use and in a lot of areas better.
Dont hesitate, buy it, you wont be sorry.
