So been a long time since an update on Blue. Been adding here and there on the bad paint spots and managed to get most of them sanded down
Started in the back with wiring and have managed to wire up the back cluster indicators brakes and park lights with new wire and have tucked them away.
Next will be to start to carefully remove the old wires and pulling the cables from the back to the front for wiring there
On the clutch and gears have managed to make some spacers with some really big washers to make it possible to bring the clutch up a bit more since i was only able to engage gears if I pressed the peddle all the way to the floor plus about another 5mm.
Also adjusted the gear lever and stop plate as per Hayes manual and wow what a difference.
Gears are more aligned not perfectly but a whole lot easier to get into gear especially into reverse.
Took her out for a test drive and feeling a lot more confident driving her on the road.
Now the next big thing is to get the old V6 off the back without a engine lift or block and tackle it is a daunting task.
Then wiring will be tackled and hopefully lots and lots of answers to come.
Have made an A3 laminated print out and will continue this next weekend and report back.
There are a few welding spots that I need to tackle as well but nothing hopefully too serious.
