How will I know for what model vehicle this is ?

If it does'nt have plenty of extra coats of paint on it, then, near the middle on the inside, it will indicate for which vehicle i.e Valiant, Hillman Vogue, Ranger, etc.

It was measured on my friends split bus and it fitted perfectly

Where the two sections join in the middle, kinda in the fold, you should see the name. (on the inside of the visor)
