I have just bought this 1975 Autovilla, which seems very strange in that it is the same length as the '74 two berth, but has a back section of a different shape and of course the luton over the cab. Does anyone know the background to how this motorhome came into being? Special order, prototype?

Nothing odd about it. It’s the 76 year model autovilla. Only 1976 for this style.

Re: 1975 Autovilla with luton...strange model?
Hi Alan. Yes, we travelled to 27 islands in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Fiji, Vanuatu, Cambodia, Malaysia and Maldives for a year. Now we are back in CT for 6 months before we head off to South America for 6 months. The plan is to travel for the winter months and spend summer in SA for the next few years. I have bought this Autovilla to pull our Nomads Gypsey food wagon to festivals and festivals...
I have always wanted to own a restaurant, and a mobile kitchen is perfect. We will sleep in the Autovilla, sell food from the wagon and live the life of gypsies for a few months of the year We still have a small house in Bothasig as our base in CT...It's a whole new approach to life - travel, adventure, trying new experiences...

Thanks for the greetings Terry. Shame man, have you had a health setback while we were away? If so, I'm sorry to hear that, and hope things improve.
