Re: Lindor's makeover
Very nice, will suit her to a "T"
You will have to re-name her
If it was me, I would use the Azure blue as its more original VW colour.
but they so close either will look great.

This is what it's going to look like, just beige where the white is.

Re: Lindor's makeover
I like that one, what happened to that chart thing you had that you could change the colours to see what the car would look like with all the colours you had on the chart.Quite a while ago you had that chart think when you done your splitty.

Re: Lindor's makeover
Maybe you can influence your wife to ditch the two tone idea. Also white walls just doesn't work for me on a beetle.

Re: Lindor's makeover
Don't think that's going to happen as this is her car and I have no say in it except paying for the work.73type2 wrote:Maybe you can influence your wife to ditch the two tone idea. Also white walls just doesn't work for me on a beetle.

It won't get white walls, luckily she doesn't like it as well

Re: Lindor's makeover
Just a side note on colour choice. I was once asked to oversee the refurbishment of a 1970 beetle and the young owner was adamant that it be pink. I convinced her to rather spray it a period correct colour so that it will be easier to sell in the future. I had it sprayed savannah beige and she loved it. Couple months later she realised that a beetle is not for her and I had to sell it. The colour made it an easy sale.

Re: Lindor's makeover
As I understand it, if the wife had a choice between Dix and the Beetle, Dix would be out the house in 10 Seconds flat

As Herman said, there is no chance she will ever sell this beetle, she has it for about 4 or so years now of witch she drove it every day for about year until somebody sat on it in-front of her work.
What the paint colour is concerned, they both VW colours L335 & L343 and period correct if I'm not mistaken
