BMW brakes?

Post by Blitzkrieg »

All BMWs with the exception of the E30 are 5x120pcd

I was looking at the BMW 540i BBS wheel, it will look awesome on a GermanLooker 8)

Does anybody know how easy is it to do the BMW brake conversion?

Do you use front hubs from a BMW all round or what?

Answers would be appreciated...

I got conversion kitt for beetle

Use the E30 front hub with a sleeve that fits inside and that fits on the Beetle stub

I got very limited Experience with t3 may be you could also make a sleeve to fit t3 and use the golf disc redrilled 5x100
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

Ok The advantage of using the BMW hubs coz it was designed to also carry the weight of the motor It will prubably out last the Owner but not the Bug

And you do not have to ghries the front wheel bearings at all.
Where with the other kitt the outer wheel bearing is so small it takes strain with wide wheels up front

Type threes used the same bearings as the rear of golfs audi and opel thus some audi rear discs will fit giving you the same bolt pattern

Found it this after noon But remember that this setup brings the front wheels more towards the out side but with the right machining to keep the 5 lug wheels no problem :D

I have a bit of room under the front arches anyway as the wheels sit far under the fenders. I'd love to see pics of this set-up P........how much further will is bring it out?
