Looks really good, let me know if there is any technical details you require, I have the Bentley workshop manual for 1200 volkswagen, it's about 3 inches thick(no kidding) with awsome illustrations!

Re: Beetle 1962
This beetle looks so good, you need to add the 33mm running board beadings and windscreen and rear window mouldings to really do it justice.

Re: Beetle 1962
That is the wider beading on the runners, looks narrow in the pics. I have the window chrome but it's above my pay grade to install, lol.73type2 wrote:This beetle looks so good, you need to add the 33mm running board beadings and windscreen and rear window mouldings to really do it justice.

Re: Beetle 1962
AFAIK there are three widths, 33mm, 18mm and 10mm. '52-'64 should have the 33mm beadings. Yours look like the 18mm, but my eyesight is not the best nowadays. The 33mm beading is relatively scarce so most people make do with either the 18mm or 10mm. For me its very important detail and I was very lucky to get an original set for my '63.
The 1962 Beetle below (googled) has the correct beading:
