Guys,
Do you know where I can get a decent quality Indicator Flasher unit in Cape Town? While mine works, it's a cheap chinese brand, so the Light on" time is minimal. I need something that has a longer light-time. Im not talking the double speed type flashing when you lose a bulb etc.. as I say, this works fine, except it's timing when the lights glow, is too quick. I want it a little slower, where the lights stay on a little longer.
thanks in advance.
Alan

I have good experience with the 3-pin flasher units at Midas. I always opt for the slightly heavier, more expensive ones. It has a see-through housing, so not period correct.

I thought I got this one from Midas, but it's not see through, it's a solid black box, with a "12" on it. I did open it to inspect and it's all foreign inside.. it "sounds" normal speed wise, but, the "lights on" timing is just far to fast, so I want something that leaves the light on slightly longer.

I believe the round heavy one that 73type2 is referring to, is the Cole Hersee brand. That is quality made in the USA. They work 100%, although not original. The square ones Midas sells are cheapies and use like a filament thing inside, they are bad ones.
