Good day who can help me can't seem to work out my Engine Number!
Found that its n 1600 but can't seem to now the rest.
Found charts that can help you, but don't seem to find the Engine number that a have?

AS is a replacement Case, the only way to really know what size engine you have is to remove one head and measure bore and stroke.

2- means manufactured post 1970
301144- allocated chassis sequence number
Vehicle manufactured in Oct 1970 which would make it a 1971 production year

So the second 1 means its n sedan

beetle is a sedan, this means car, as in not truck, or commercial.

Engine Number
The second 1 says it is a sedan and not a convertible... so first 1 says it’s a beetle and second 1 it is a beetle sedan, not convertible or station wagon or fastback ( not that there was other kinds of beetles but those codes applicable to type 3 and 4 for example)
