Model year 1971 (starting in August 1970) saw the introduction of the twin-port engine and the second pair of cooling vents on the engine cover. People had different perceptions about that colour since back in the day.
You could start a fight on a school playground about that colour. I still remember the shouting: "that car is green!" "it's not green, that car is definitely yellow!"
The shouting would attract a bigger crowd, and everybody had his own serious perception/opinion on that colour.
