Hello fellow aircoolers
Waiting for the registration email, but too impatient to wait so posting here for now.
Just got myself a '64 Beetle.
Clutch is dead so took the stock engine out, crank end play is huge; like 7mm... So it needs a rebuild.
Can anyone recommend a shop that would rebuild this engine, around Harties would be even better!

Since your post doesn't have your location I am assuming you are in the JHB area? If so, Bruce from EMC Motors is your BEST bet...084-502-1099. He is located on the West Rand in Horizon.
Given enough time and money, anything is possible...
