Some more progress, added metal in the areas that had big gaps, patches were the holes are someone had previously drilled in the pan, added more welds where the replacement section was welded in and repaired the rusted area by the accelerator pedal mount with some 2mm mild steel.
Getting everything to fit is the hard part, the welding goes quick. I also ground down the welds and sprayed them with zinc primer for rust protection in the interim as it may be a while till I work on the chassis again.
The homemade chassis flipper is also finished, just made from 114 x 32mm pine with castor's.

A little more progress, the underside of the pan has it's first coat of Duram DTM paint on. I still need to paint the pain rails though. I need to paint to the top of the psns/chassis as well. My favorite angle grinder disc for prepping the pans are the strip and clean discs from Fowkes Brothers, they make light work of stripping off paint and rust. I need to replace the spring plate bushes on the chassis along with a host of small things to do on it. I purchased more replacement parts recently for the chassis. Once the pan/chassis is all painted, it's time to swap over the gearbox, front suspension, engine and got the braking system. The car still needs the bodywork to be finished, a few rust repairs and the front inner wheel well repair panels fitted.

A little more progress to share, top part of pans has been cleaned and coated with it's first coat of Duram DTM paint. I also tried out my R125 sandblasting gun I got from Temu a while ago, does a fairly decent job of getting rid of the rust.
I also recently purchased a set of chrome 5 star rims with good tyres, these rims will go nicely with the bull bars, side bars and engine cage I recently had powdercoated silver.
Hoping next time to finish painting the pan and chassis, I'm so motivated to get this car on the road.

A little more progress made, the chassis has its second coat of paint on the top of the pans and the complete underside. I still need to paint the pan rails, top of the frame head and the rear suspension uprights plus spring plates. I'm aiming to work on the chassis thus coming Easter weekend and try to finish painting it.
