and we are off !!!! ,...not to the races !1
ok, I'm in the process of "making" industrial tins to cover gap left after the removal of the heater boxes & fitting std J-pipes .
now the CAD designs are at version 3 / 17B,..and I need to go to buying thin sheet metal ?? probably .8 to 1mm thickness.
Now who has done this before ?,... that can "assist" with good drawings / pics & sizes to measure whether I'm on the right track ?
Ps metal fabrication is NOT my area of expertise !!.....the simpler the better
anybody out there ?
regards Haans
Hello Haans....
I make DIY CAD into Sheetmetal CAD for my company
If you let me have your CAD photos, I can convert them to computer CAD

Ok !! tell you what ...... I"m in the pre-production phase now,... moving from CAD to sheet metal. BUT Don't own a "aviation" tinsnips to advance with the process. so it is on the list for coming week.
Ps I see Adendorff has this "aviation" tinsnips,..... Straight cut and then Righthanded,.... now with zero experience in sheet metal work,.....what is the difference ?
A pic of the CAD design ? or I'll share what I've got ?
Regards Haans
Jaa, You get tin snips to do many different things,
One to cut straight lines, one to cut left hand circles
One to cut right hand circles
Its just easier to use the correct one but they all work
If on a budget, get the straight one as it will do all 3 ways with a little effort.

Got one today,... Right hand drive nogal !!!
I got the drawings off the "Samba" site But I took advice from The dude on Youtube channel ==> "Haptic Garage",... and modified them a bit.
the CAD samples are fitting,....sort off,........transferred the templates onto thin sheeting,.. and will start cutting & trimming in the week
Will share the pre-production sample after fitment test,....
