This strengthens the gearbox on the forks and stops the twisting motion induced by torque of the engine. It's cheap, it work really well and you can do it in one afternoon..... Well for MTM maybe two!
and then you twist the body.... You may as well use the engine hanger setup, with a square tube mounted under the rear end (oil pump side) of the engine and the tube bolted to the bumper mounts

I have one for sale if anyone is interested.

New from CB. Chrome. Has all of it's mounting hardware.

My bug's getting a gearbox midmount and Bugpack KCB. :)

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Is that the one for R400-00?
If it's too low, you're too old

A stock beetle box is stronger than you think... I've been running my box for about four years now without any problems. Previous engine made 95kw on the wheels and I drove like a hooigan... dougnuts burnouts etc

I'm sure that a 2,0 Type 4 that's very close to stock won't destroy a standard Type III gearbox :D

Your gearbox should last forever with a stock type 4.
