ok all you resto air heads, Jade with his 57 needs to service his 57 and has asked me to help, what parts are needed and what if any problems should i be aware of, his ride is very std even down to the motor with the solid genny stand ,????? you can also call me on 0763054135 B.A.B

He'll need the usual points, plugs and condensor. Good luck finding points for a stock 30hp engine.

He'll also need sump gaskets and tappet cover gaskets. Good luck finding these for a 30hp engine.

He'll probably have to import all the parts unless anyone here knows where this stuff can be found locally. If so, please post here so all us 30hp owners can take advantage.

Hubcap -- Hubert who also farms on this forum has tons of old VW stuff like 30 hoss rotors and other delights
If you need his number Fig I have it- just dont want to place it here without his permission. if U want I can pm it to U.
Gee, somebody must have welded the gennie post to the casing? LOL

Bad Ass, if u need tune up and torque specs on that motor I have a manual with most of the info you will need

thanks guys seems like we might take the cheaper route and buy a newer spec motor he wants to use it as a semi daily driver LOL LOL B.A.B

I did some scratching and have a box of 10 of the points for the 54 to 60 Beetle. They are German Bremi(No 1059 equivalent to Echlin CS301). Price R60 each.
