hows about some details.... we might be able to work magic, but not many of us can see, smell, feel or hear what you car is doing
when does it die? What sounds does it make? How long does it idle before it dies. What happens when you blip the throttle? Does the car drive, how well does it drive??????

Check your idle cut-off valve (cylinder thingy screwed into the side of the carb). With the ignition switched on, disconnect the power cable to the cut-off valve; you should hear it make an audible click when you reconnect power. If there's no click it's not opening and your car won't idle.

It's also possible that the spade connector is worn and only making an intermittent connection.

Do you have fuel in the tank?
Is the battery flat?
Does the Quantum physics really work or only in another multi-verse?

If you have a set of solexes and both are overfilling it is a fuel supply issue. Do you have a pressure regulator in the fuel system? If you changed your fuel pump to a brosol or similar, they usually have too much pressure and you need to shim the pump up with gaskets or the shims if you have them. There are 2 types of mechanical pumps. One for generator and one for alternator. they have different length pushrods for the pump. The alternator pump is angled.
If the 1600 is shutting off suddenly, it is probably the solinoid like the others said. try to turn up the idle and see if it still shuts off. if it does not shut off it is the solonoid. Just replace it.

I'm not 100% sure, but I have a sneaky suspicion it could be your flux capacitor...you need to keep the car above 88 Mph in order to cool the device sufficiently...

Ahh but that is assuming that the plasma injectors are calibrated and you are able to maintain worp5.6 for sustained periods!
