What gets me is a dumbass F*ckwit who ignores me because I'm young, probably have no desire for history, almost certainly am clueless, and am there to waste their time.

Sorry guys...you lost close on 50k worth of parts from me in the last 18 months.

...and don't get me started on the TOTAL lack of respect for my cars from the older audience because it's "only a VW".

My bug has cost more than your plastic runabout, and guess what, when you peg, we're the ones who take them over.

I know MANY clubs who have a SERIOUS problem with ageing members, but who do NOTHING to promote youngsters.

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Lack of respect here, when asking how much a 1970 Mustang is worth
If it's too low, you're too old

I no longer display my cars at shows. It's not worth the attitude, and I've now had my Fleetline and my ambulance damaged.

Enough.

There was one trully helpful dude who I was sad to see close down, Richard at VS in JHB, I would always buy something from him even if I didn't realy need it, he was always prepared to share his vast knowledge, spent many a Saturday morning at his shop just talking shit :D .

Yea, I had that with Justin at Beetle corner. Still to this day the only guy who I never suspected for trying to rip me off - all round good oke

I can remember in my early days asking a mechanic, who lived across the road from us, for help on quite a few occasions and his answer would always be "bring it to the shop and I'll have a look" and then charge me the earth for repairs.

I agree about richard
Ihave found lots of flatspots due to acc pumps being to strong and flooding the engine.
