Do you guys know on which model (bus/type 3/4) was a rear torsion bar installed. I'm not looking for the Z-bar, but a similar bar like the front stabilizer bar. I saw a picture of one, but can't see year/model only it looks like a bus gearbox.
Any ideas?

A swaybar?
None stock, and they don't fit s/a - only IRS.
Btw, torsion bars are the bars that rotate inside the torsion tubes - terminology
You also need to fit a size of swaybar that correlates to the size in front, otherwise you 'unbalance' the suspension, ie: over/understeer.

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Sorry Merlin you're right should be anti-roll bar. Here's a pic ---

I'm looking for something like this that I can hunt down at a scrapyard.
The idea is to prevent too much roll/twist of the body and get it to push down evenly at the back as well as stiffen the rear suspension. IMPI - you say type 4? - I'll go and check during the week if I can find something. Would have to rubber mount it to the axles to compensate for the change in camber as the wheel moves up and down I presume. I also intend to add an additional one to the front.
What do you think - am I getting ready to kill myself?

Firstly, do you have IRS?
If not, you need a Camber Compensator - ask Dave Rowley. EMPI ones are Shite.
I've heard rumours that EMPI experimented with a s/a swaybar some time ago, but I've never seen anything more on that.
You need the mounting hardware...import it. Old hardware will be stuffed. It's decades old.
You need atleast a matching one up front. Afaik, a slightly small guage at the back is best.
I didn't know about the Type 4s...try a scrapyard.
