Replacement Running Boards For Bug

Post by \/\/olfsburg\/\/olf »

Hey all I am tired of crappy plastic running boards on my bug, so I am thinking of replacing them with some metal ones like these:

or

is there an SA supplier or do I have to import them myself?

Rather pick up a straight pair of OEM ones and get them panelbeaten and recovered.

I think you're talking about the brazilian rubbish, OEM boards are heavy gauge steel and VERY hard wearing, I picked up an old set, got them straightend out and then recovered them with a very hard wearing rubber........they looked stock, but you could stand on them no problem and I'm 110kg's..........
