Fleetlines...alternators or gennies?

Post by Merlin »

...or was it whatever was next in the parts bin?

I have a conflict between two buses here...

Thanks, N.

Fleetlines were 75 spec, so they were fitted with alternators.

That's what I thought, yet the newbie is gennie.

...strange, considering it's mileage. I'll check with the PO, but I can't imagine the reason for a change...especially considering the problem with what's in there now.

Seeing as how we're on the subject, which windscreen wipers should be on a Fleetline, Fig?

Thanks, N.

Ok, ok, what WIPER ARMS :?:

The newbie is running earlies, and mine runs what look bug-like...I don't recall you 'wronging' them at any time before, so which is correct?

Thanks, N.

I don't have any pics of correct Fleetline wiper arms, but they are unique to Fleetlines, and have a couple of bends in them. Original colour a silver/grey. The German splits had straight wiper arms.

Mmmkay - that makes the Daily ones incorrect.

The newbie ones may well be correct then though. :)
