When was the last time your wife bought you a car? PICS!!

Post by Pine »

About a week before the buggy accident last year, I visited some clients for work in Meyerton (with the orange buggy) and the receptionist asked me if I would be interested in another buggy, as soon as she saw mine. I wasn't interested at the time and actually totally forgot about it! About a month ago I woke in the middle of the night and remembered it for the first time again. Decided there and then to follow it up, but phoned the lady only a week later. She said it was still available, and I asked her to MMS pictures to my wife Teresa's phone, since I currently use an old Nokia phone that is simple, yet reliable but cant take pics.

Only problem is that I simply forgot to tell Teresa  , so when she received the pics, she called the number they were from, wheeled-and-dealed a bit, and actually BOUGHT it for me! :drunks: Now just HOW LUCKY can one be??

We went to go and have a look at it last weekend, where it is standing at the (now) PO. It is an old Kestrel buggy, pretty complete but in need of some work. Still have to go and fetch it once the Bay has its towbar fitted. Want to have it running by the beginning of summer, will keep the Forum updated. Thanks Hunny, I love You!! xxx

Wow Pine!that's simply incredible.I hope that you're going to make this Buggy Orange also :D
Still have your A-frame here, but a quick question for you ,will a stock 1600 Bay be able to tow a Buggy :zhelp:
If it's too low, you're too old

Thanks Blitz, will first get this one running before deciding on the colour. I'm pretty sure a 1600 Bay won't have problems to tow the buggy, since there is no vertical weight on the tow hitch, and a buggy weighs less than 600kg. All about momentum - once it's rolling, you'll be fine!

Suzie, will phone oom Paul a bit later

Blitz, no big plans at the moment except to get it running. Will add huge chromed headlights, and a nice bumper up front. Want to put small oval Bus lights at the back, turned horizontal as Beetle lights won't fit. It also needs front seats.

GT3 Buggy?
