Hi Guys
Is there a chemical to remove bodyfiller? A previous owner filled up the slots where the semaphores went in with bodyfiller. I tried chisseling it out but this stuff is really hard and I am scared that I'll damage the body.
Thanks Lieb

Re: Remove Bodyfiller
I have successfully removed body filler with a rotating wire brush attachment on a drill. I picked mine up at a local hardware for R20-00, but the 3M one is around R100-00 +
Make sure that you use eye protection when using that attachment

Yip...thats the way to go! Eye protection very important. The wires come loose sometimes. One hit me on the tip of my nose once and penetrated the skin. Don't want that in your eye!

Ja, and I want to add that you should wear a decent shirt of at least jeans too. because those little 'flying daggers' hurts like hell on open skin(although, the attachment I used was for a grinder.... even worse!)

Gues you will need a drill and drill small holes in the filler to remove it, it will take some time though. My gues is there will be some news paper inside aswell. (watch out for the wiring inside)
When use that grinder disk use protection as the others say.

Re: Remove Bodyfiller
Thanks for the advice. Seems like the semaphores were removed. Looks like it was filled completely with filler. I hope that I can find a pair this weekend at the Piston ring swop meet if not I'll have to wait for Ferdie's swop meet.
