Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Hi.
My name is Joanne, reisdent in JHB. I own a bright yellow 'fixed up' beetle, wich now sports serious plastic surgery. Problem is that 'he', (must be a he; full of nonsense and as moody as hell) guzzles fuel. I have to use the car to get to work in Jo'burg traffic, and having got to the point where I now have to choose between shoes and fuel, (o.k it's a girl thing), I have decided to sell him. So actually I have an ulterior motive; I am looking for a good home for the sod.
He has a fantastic sound system, including monster amp, airplane type seats, racing steering wheel, horribly expensive wheels, electric windows and doors that open by remore etc. The car receives serious attention, which I am going to miss; good for the ego!
If anyone is interested or knows of anyone who is, please contact me on joanneb@gp.waltons.co.za or via this web site. I will have some photos available soon, of the car, not me, which I will e-mail to those who are interested.
Hoping to hear from you. Jo.

Re: New Members - Introduce yourself..
Hi Guys,
Finally registered after visiting the site quite a lot. I live in Centurion and got my first bug about 2 years ago, it’s a 1600S, after wanting an acvw for a long long time. I loved it so much that the Audi went to the 2nd hand car dealer
So at the moment it’s a hobby and a daily driver. I have always been into things with engines and started rebuilding Motorcycles in high school, and a lot of them were of the air cooled variety. This lead to my interest in acvw's and now a love for them! My plan is to do a full body off rebuild now that I have a double garage! This will start as soon as I have another set of wheels to drive to work and back, and I am pretty sure that my new daily driver will also be missing its radiator!!
