What's worse is that whoever stole it,had to push it away, because it wasn't running!!
I thought it looked a bit bare in the photo? Big cajones on the thieves...
I hope your car gets found soon, Vuyo.

What worries me is that there hasn't been a trace of any of the Beetles stolen recently. How is this possible?
Some people have said there are more Beetles coming to them these days which are for sale as a whole or in parts. Maybe this is because people need money and are selling their cars - or are people trying to sell parts off stolen vehicles?
There must be something that can be done.
Is there any pattern to these crimes?

I think that these cars aren't being stripped for spares. All the cars taken are in good condition with lots of extras on them.
They target cars that are well kept.If they wanted spares they would have taken beat up cars as well, but as far as I can see they are all good cars.So there seems to be more sinister reasons behind this.
Damn,I'm good!
Beach Buggy (Running and now Aircooled!)
VW TDi DC
Jetta V TDi
I'm still wondering if it isn't someone that we pissed off on the site.
If you listen to all the people that have been cheated out of their cars or money by "restorers", I wouldn't put it above some of these "restorers" to resort to stealing nice cars and using the good body parts or mechanical spares to "restore" someones vehicle. As red-m said, there's no trace of the stolen cars.
But maybe I need to relax more and not be so paranoid.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.
Sorry Vuyo - tough luck. Maybe there is a big ACVW fan in Maputo who just keeps adding to his collection. My daughters stolen Karmann Ghia is there - its been seen! .
