Hi, just returned to live in UK after 10 years in Jozi. Recently bought my first bus, a 79 panel van with camper conversion here in Cornwall after owning a 73 Beetle for the last few years in SA. My first VW however was a Cape Town plated Beach Buggy that i picked up in Harare after my 69 Landrover died on the way back from Malawi. Had great fun driving the Buggy back to Jozi via the Zimbabwean highlands, and so started my love of the air cooled way! Great site guys.

Just joined for the second time. First time was a long time ago, before the demise of Hot-Wheels and the flipping over of the Westy, before the restoration of the yellow Thing and the Sue-bru Bug project and before the lowering of Hitler's Revenge. As well as before the fire on the T34... Now you know who I am. For those that still don't, I own the '64 T34 (It's hot! It should be cooled down by now though) in Melkbos that has been in restoration for over 4 years, ...sigh..., the '56 Splittie (well, Gill owns it), the '67 T316 Notch, the 2000 Beamish and now also a Berry Mini-T which is a heap, but a project to be started soon. See you around as I find my way around this website... Don't hold your breath. Cheers, Ron
