FFF,you can't get third party insurance that will cover the cost of your car if it got into and accident.Secondly, you have over insured the car and therefore you are paying too much on the third party.

The insurance that we are working on is on AGREED VALUE.If the car is deemed to be worth R40 000,that is the amount that will be paid out.IOW,you can replace the car,and might pay cheaper for it,which means you'll have extra cash to spend on the replacement car.

We did a trial quote on my insurance and the monthly payment worked out to more or less a R100 cheaper that my current insurance WITH my ACVW insured.

Insuring a car per km is expensive if your car is a daily driver.

We are doing proper home work on this and that is the reason why it's taking a while, but once we have all the details,it will be worth the wait.Your car will be insured as a classic, without costing a fortune, and it will be comprehensive.

I spoke to guys today about a tracking device the size of a credit card which can be installed into any vehile,12V or 6V.

Okay, replacement value on my car is in the region of R100 000, give or take, I have not seem one listed for under R80 000 that even has half of the stuff that mine does. I know that 3rd party covers only the other driver in case of an accident, btu as the car is not driven that much, this was the best option for me. I don't think that I have over-insured the speedster at all.

What's the extra cost of the tracking device installed and monthly costs involved?

The reason I gave 3rd party as an option is because many of us don't have any insurance whatsoever.

I actually meant that if you haven't insured your car that you are paying too much for your 3rd party.

That is why we are working on this so that we can get all the cars insured for a very good price
