Take our hands put them together as you would pray like you fit them 90deg then try and do a flex movement with your fingers you can split all your fingers apart but cant "Flex" them up and down
Now just turn your hands slightly to left or right now you are able to "Flex" your 2 hands Slightly up and down
When the boots are 90deg that is 2 thick pieces of rubber next to one another where you bolt it together and more difficould to flex up and down but if you just turn it slight to the 1 or 11 O clock position the 2 pieces of rubber is easier to flex and I just personally prefer to do it like so the other way work as you say you always do it like that but I think the other way is better

The gauges are vdo got them for free am gonna take them to speedo services to swap out or calibrate. Got my wheels.......
