I'd better start getting some sort of royalties for all these pics that I post

If it's too low, you're too old

Re: Split Scream !
Stuff the royalties, all I want is a spin in this Bus once it's done!
At least this Bus isn't going to be deliberately rusted and whatever else those RatLook guys do ..........

Re: Split Scream !
Looking good, just make sure they spray those doors as they are going to hang, (not lying flat) otherwise they will never look 100% correct with the rest of the bodywork, but I am sure they know that.
I also want to go for a spin when its ready!

Re: Split Scream !
Hey guys, just some updated pics on the bus like i said busy with final prep work for paint next week, "stonechiped" the underside and wheel arches ,primer and sand the inside and finish of some little marks on the outside next move is to paint the bus in a mat "red oxide" colour and then look for "waves" and spots (the idea has never been to build a show car that is perfect )but we might as well fix what we see now.As for the holes in the engine lid the plan is to space the numberplate to hide them but still get the hot air out as we have had two carbon "scoops" made to fit the side vents and we can hopefully get all the hot air from the turbo ect out the back(thats the idea and as no one has done something like this that i know about its trail and error) i have got an extra engine lid that is also getting prepped and painted if we find its not neccesary to have the holes
The idea with painting it a red oxide colour for base is that in a couple of years as the paint wears and becomes thin on the window sills and corners the bus will HOPEFULLY have a nice old school rod patina but for that time will tell.Yes carma thanks for the advice all doors will be hanged and gaps adjusted before paint.I hope to post some pics of the suspention when thats done and then the next pics will be after the paint job next week
