Re: 14 year old build
Very easy - pry the bezel of the speedo carefully open with a small flat screwdriver and open the mechanical part. Be careful not to touch the very sensitive spring attached to the needle - it will lose accuracy. The odo has a small pin that holds the numbered wheels in place. Pull the pin out, and re-adjust the digits to 0000.0 and replace pin. It is a lot easier than it sounds!1972 wrote:ok does anyone know what is the easyiest way to get an odo metre back to 000000 ( i have the odo out )
Be very careful to powdercoat a front beam, I tried it once. Even though I thought I had sealed the ends good enough, the grease inside the two beams became thin oil in the powder coating baking process, and spoilt the whole thing.1972 wrote: and tried to explain to the people at the powdercoaters what a front beam is

Search 'front suspension' on TheSamba, I'm sure you'll get all the answers there

Conga rats on your investment and enthusiasm
Are you going full resto or are you tricking this out?
Get some quotes for a paint job, some upholstery, tires, wheels - post them here and I'll see what I can hook you up with
